If a DC trip is in your near future and your heart is set on visiting the President’s Palace, you may want to leave a little extra time to get the necessary credentials to get in. With that in mind, here are my best tips for winning a spot on one of the White House tours. There are NO storage facilities available at the White House complex or the White House Visitor Center.

You will enter the White House by the south side of East Executive Avenue near the Southeast Gate, where National Park Service rangers will be on hand to assist you. The Blue, Silver, and Orange lines stop at Farragut West, McPherson Square, or Metro Center stations, all of which are within easy walking distance of the Visitor Center.
